Friday's Circle of Friends - February 17

circle of friends

I have been reading many personal finance blogs since the beginning of last December as I try to figure out what to do to pay off our debt. I have come across very helpful blogs that talk about budgeting, saving money, grocery shopping and meal plans, and much more. Today I wanted to share with you the blog posts I found most inspiring and informative this past week. I hope you enjoy them.

When you feel like you will never get out of debt you need to keep yourself going by focusing on what your life will be like once you are debt-free. Very inspiring post! Nurture Your Debt-Free Dream.

Check out how simple changes led to a savings of $15,308 a year. How We've Cut Our Budget.

I had to include this post from Daisy on The Downside of Blogging Anonymously. We both blog anonymously for somewhat similar reasons. Unfortunately she is already experiencing some of the drawbacks of doing so. Checkout her post to see what I mean by that.

This is one of a 3 part series where Ashley talks about battling our fears when it comes to debt, income and savings. 3 fears that I am constantly dealing with and I’m sure many others are as well. Battling Your Debt Fears.

Derek talks about the benefits of paying cash for your next home. In reading many of the personal finance blogs I have noticed that many people have 2 primary goals. Pay off credit card debt and personal loans. Then either pay off their mortgage in full or buy a new home with cash. See what Derek has to say about the subject. Why You Should Pay For a House With Cash.

Should you rent a house or buy a house? It is quite a hot topic on the Internet and one that many seem to have an opinion about. Please drop by and share your thoughts on the subject. Owning or Renting? Why Renting Is The Right Choice For Us.

Do you find yourself working very long hours? Are you finding it difficult to juggle your work life and your family life? See what Melissa has to say about this. 4 Signs Your Gazelle Intensity Is Hurting Your Relationships.

Lastly, a post about blog design. If you are in control of designing your own blog you may find these blog design tips helpful. The one I personally agree with is the font size. I don’t know about you, but I find it very difficult to read articles online when the font is tiny. 7 Quick Tips to Make Your Blog Design More Readable.

These posts are very helpful. I find saving money is a team effort and when I choose to live happy and keep my focus on the goal or prize I come out on top.
