This post 7 Habits to Live Happy Life with Less is a great reminder of how to live a simpler, healthier and happier life.
Shilpan touches on many important aspects of our life, but the point that really hit home for me was “Obsessive thinking”.
Over the years that has become a very bad habit for me. I obsess about things that have happened but even worse, I obsess about things that I think might happen in the future (today, next week, next year).
We read everywhere “what we focus on becomes our reality”. To some extent I believe that, but in many instances I don’t. Why? Because if all the crap that I have ever focused on had become my reality I probably wouldn’t be here.
In this post Shilpan suggests using Yoga and meditation to relax the mind. I’ve tried that. I’ve also tried listening to meditation CDs as I am falling asleep.
Another thing that I have tried is to repeat good thoughts to myself just as I am about to fall asleep and again in the morning when I am trying to wake up. It’s a work in progress.
This post Blog Movement of the Week! by Average Joe at the free financial advisor touches on several different key topics and talks a bit about his recent vacation to Disney World and how downtime increases his creativity. I completely agree with that. I think downtime allows our mind to free itself from concerns and things that stress us out, and allows our mind to be open to new thoughts and ideas.
Below are a variety of posts from this past week, as well as some from last year.
Up until now I’ve only been keeping up with current posts so I decided to go back in time and see what people were blogging about prior to me starting my blog. I found some very informative posts. I honestly enjoyed them all and just had to include them in my circle of friends this week.
