Another year over and a new one about to begin.
My husband and I have made so many personal changes during the past 12 months and I feel like we’ve built a new, strong foundation upon which we can continue to re-build our personal finances and our lives overall.
I’m not one to share my goals publicly but that doesn’t mean we don’t have any. We have lots, and we are both filled with a renewed energy and positive outlook which will definitely help us achieve our goals in 2013, and the many years ahead.
While there have been years when I have gone out to house parties or bars for New Years Eve, my favorite ones are the ones spent at home with my husband. Do we do anything super special? No, not really.
We just really love being together. Our plans are to make homemade Nachos and have them along with the Guacamole dip that my husband made yesterday and the Dark Chocolate Cheesecake that I made last week and froze for tonight. Maybe add in a Cuba Libre and we’ll be set.
We'll watch movies and see if we can stay awake till midnight. Every year it becomes more challenging.
What I will miss tonight is watching Dick Clark on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve in Times Square. I’ve been watching that since I was a kid, along with American Bandstand. Dick Clark was an amazing person. One of those people that you expect to live forever.
I have several favorite New Years Eve songs that I love to listen to at this time of the year.
Which one is your favorite?
Whatever your plans are for today and tomorrow, I hope you spend some time with those you love and enjoy ringing in the new year together.
Wishing you a Prosperous and Happy New Year my friends!
