I am very excited to be unveiling a new blog design @TacklingOurDebt today. Tackling Our Debt was initially launched in early 2012 and at that time the intent was to simply blog about ways to save money and to get out of debt. Since then it has grown into so much more.
Yes, there are many posts on saving money and living a frugal lifestyle, but what if you have done all that and are still having trouble making ends meet? Perhaps at that point it is time to find ways to make more money, either by starting a side hustle, finding a part-time job, or starting your own business. And while you are busy doing that, you may encounter some situations that make your life a bit more stressful and chaotic. There are tips to help you out with that as well.
New Blog Design @TacklingOurDebt
The new blog design includes a number of new features.
Beginning at the top, the drop down menu now includes all of the original pieces, plus links to giveaways, the blog planner, and a new page that introduces the expert contributors.
The first box in the main column will always be the most recently published blog post.
The next part is a carousel of 9 or more featured blog posts. These will be switched out every few days or so.
Next, there is a section for sponsors and affiliate ads.
And below that you will find all of the other blog posts in the order that they were published.
On the right you will find all of the blog posts organized into nice tabs, as well as a short Twitter feed and room for ads.
When I started this blog I never meant for it to be a personal diary of sorts. While some of my posts contain bits and pieces of personal information, most of the blog posts are meant to be about things that people may find useful if they are stuck in a certain situation and need some help, or are simply looking for ways to do things differently. The posts on this blog are light and easy to read. While some information may be a repeat of things you have read before, I hope that at some point, you as a reader find something that you either may not have thought of before, or may need a gentle reminder about.
While most of the work is completed on the new design, I still need to do some final testing, which I could only do once the site was live. The layout and features are developed to work with IE 9, IE 10, as well as the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox and Safari. A few small areas will continue to be tweaked over the next several days. If you see anything that looks completely out of alignment, please let me know.
Oh, and one more item. I want to take a minute to thank everyone that has been visiting Tackling Our Debt over the past 15 months. Thank you very much for reading, as well as sharing on social media. It is always fun to interact with everyone and to learn new things about you as well. The past 15 months have been wonderful and here’s to many more months and years ahead of fun blogging. Thank you!
